WOW!!! it is has been so long...

We are in and it has been a great 4 months living here in the new house. We think it looks great, but it is not for everyone. We have so far changed almost all of the lighting in the house. We have some projects over the next year or so, for more improvements like crown moulding, a blacksplash in the kitchen, and a master bedroom makeover. We are waiting until the fall to do a whole house paint job in colours that we like, mostly white of course! Take a peek at what we have done so far:

PDI

It has been a fairly long time since we updated our blog. We have not updated our blog since our house has been mainly locked up recently.

We had our PDI this morning so we have lots of progress to report.

The house is now basically finished.

Here is what has changed since the last post.

1) The Grass is all in (Ya, no mud in our yard this spring!)
2) Hardwood is installed.
3) Carpet runner is installed.
4) Structured wiring is finished
5) Door to pantry is finished.
6) All painting is completed
7) and the list goes on

The PDI went amazing. I cannot believe the customer service from Mattamy. At one point I think there was 2 or 3 handymen following us around fixing any problems we noted. There really were no major problems, the things we listed were mostly as follows:

1) A tile that wasn't flat in the ensuite
2) A tile that wasn't nicely laid in the main bath.
3) Various paint touch ups.
4) Stain on the first stair.
5) A few minor blemishes on the cupboards.

Hydro & Water

It has been a while since our last post. Things are definately not moving as fast as they were a few months ago.

Here is where the builder is at now.

1) Hydro is on (Yeah they can now start the hardwood!)
2) The water is on
3) The mirrored closests are installed
4) Our mirrors in the washrooms are installed.
5) The Driveway is started (should be paved this coming week).
6) The Furnance system is completed.
7) The lights are all in and working.
8) The cold air returns are installed.

Granite Counters

Well, it has been a couple of weeks since our last post.

There are lots of changes.

1) The furnance is now completely installed.
2) The Gas Lines have been completed.
3) The house has been painted
4) The stairs have been stained
5) The granite is in for the kitchen and ensuite.
6) The ensuite shower glass door is installed.
7) The electrical has been finished off.
8) The fireplace Mantle has been installed.
