Tiles and Stair Rails

A few things have happened since our last post. Here is a run down of the latest progress.

1) The outside Windows have been caulked.
2) The furnance has been delivered and installation has begun.
3) The tiles are installed (except for ensuite).
4) The trim has been delivered
5) The stair rails have been installed

Unfortunately our ensuite is not tiled yet since the wall tiles are possibly discontinued. Mattamy is searching for more of our wall tiles, but we have picked new tile in case they cannot find it. The tiles we have picked as replacement is just simple white subway tile (3"X6").

Round Corners

Well, it has been a little while since our last update.

A few things have happened since our last post.

1) The drywall is now fully installed.
2) The corner bead was installed and removed because it was square instead of round.
3) Round Corner bead was then correctly installed.
4) The drywall taping is very much under way. They just have to sand it now, then they can prime and paint.
5) The garage doors are installed.
6) The soffit is completed
7) The siding is now fully completed
8) The porch roof is completed.
9) They started the fire lot next door.

On Monday, we had a skunk in the house but thankfully it did not spray anything, also a good thing that Debbie our fantastic builder let me know before I went to the house and found a little surprise.

We will just have to ensure that the doors are properly closed when we are on site.

On Friday, we went to the Kim Chi Korean BBQ in Stouffville with Kent + Christine and Ed + Christine which are all future neighbours of ours on Walter Sangster Road. The Korean BBQ in Stouffville is very good and the waiter could be a stand in for any good comedian (he is quite funny). I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

After Diner we went to the site, and found a kitten in the foundation of the house next to Kent's. We rescued the cat from the foundation and hopefully it will be ok.
